*WHAT DOES YOUR COMPANY DO?? THE BIGGEST OF ALL NO-NOS. You need to do some research & figure that out BEFORE the interview.

*HOW MUCH DOES THE JOB PAY?
Sure, you want to know, but asking about salary & benefits right off the bat can send the wrong message. Hopefully, the interviewer will bring up the subject. If not, wait until the next stage in the interview process.

*WHAT ARE THE HOURS OF THIS POSITION?

That’s a big turnoff. Most potential bosses don’t want a clock watcher.

*Asking about VACATION, SICK DAYS, OR TIME OFF IS…another bad idea. These questions can make you look more concerned with getting out of work than getting a job. One company recalled an applicant actually asked what the company’s MENTAL health benefits were. LOL
Telegraphing that you have mental problems will NOT put you at the top of the list of candidates.

This Voluntary kindergarten delay is dubbed “redshirting” after the practice of “benching” college athletes for a season to prolong their eligibility.

Some proponents of redshirting the kids say it’s a good idea because kids need to be older to handle todays more difficult curriculums.

For kids whose birthdays fall just short of the kindergarten age cut-off date, redshirting bumps them from one of the youngest in the class to one of the oldest. It’s gotta be tempting for parents who don’t want their child to be the least mature in the room, or the smallest in the gym class.

But one thing to consider-redshirting means an extra year of day care expenses. Hmmmmm. To Redshirt, or NOT to Redshirt.

Razors, nail files, combs, & hairbrushes can spread bacteria & viruses that would make your skin crawl.

AND OUTSIDE OF THE BATHROOM, there are plenty things we share that we really shouldn’t:
*COMPUTER KEYBOARDS
*VIDEO GAME CONTROLLERS
*TV REMOTE (HUGE in spreading germs through the household)

FOR THOSE GADGETS YOU CAN’T AVOID SHARING, YOU MIGHT WANT TO KEEP A BOTTLE OF HAND SANITIZER RIGHT NEXT TO IT.

*MAKE SURE YOU KNOW COMPANY POLICY. You have no First Amendment rights of free speech when it comes to decorating your workspace.
*TYPICALLY, THINK OF THE “3 P’s & A C” RULE:
Photos, plants, postcards, & a calendar. Those are usually pretty safe.
*PHOTOS SHOULD BE TASTEFUL. A vacation pic with you in a bikini is not appropriate. “If you wouldn’t wear it to work, don’t show it on your walls.”

*GET A LAMP. If your space is lit by overhead fluorescent lights, a lamp will make a huge difference & make your space much more inviting.

* CAREFUL WITH THE CARTOONS & FUNNY PHOTOS. Your sense of humor is not protected. Posting an image that makes fun of the boss or a co-worker is grounds for getting fired.

Actually, black tea is no lightweight: It’s been shown to help fight bad breath & tooth decay, protect our hearts, reduce stress, & even “battle the bulge.” LOL

JUST LIKE GREEN TEA, BLACK TEA IS ALSO packed with immune-boosting antioxidants.

Both green & black tea are really good for us, & even come from the same plant. But green tea seems to get more of the “good press.”
But that’s mainly because it’s used more often in a lot of the research done on the health benefits of tea.

LIKE IT OR NOT, WE ARE JUDGED BY THE COMPANY WE KEEP, & WE NEED TO SET SOME BOUNDARIES:

*When you “click” with a co-worker, resist the urge to share too much personal information right away.

* Keep office socializing to a minimum. Sharing lunch breaks or coffee once in a while is fine, but hanging out at each others desks cam be overkill.

* Believe it or not, an obvious close bond can alienate others in the office. We might not notice it, but they do. It’s best to save the personal stuff for after hours.

* Who we associate with in the workplace also affects how our superiors & co-workers perceive us. And remember, if an office friendship “falls apart,” it can really make things uncomfortable.

IN A NEW STUDY, researchers looked at brain scans of subjects who had recently been rejected by their partner-& who were still in love with the person who rejected them.

They found that romantic rejection stimulated the same parts of the brain as cocaine & other addictions. In other words, romantic love acts much like an “addiction” in the brain. This helps to explain why behaviors by people who have been rejected-like stalking-are often difficult to control.

THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT TIME DEFINITELY HEALS THE HURT. After a period of time, the subjects were shown photos of the person who had rejected them, & those parts of the brain that showed so much activity before, had quieted down.
